“An interpretation that will profoundly move us through the simplicity of its expression and the mastery of a virtuosity free of all display <...> The Kharkiv-born musician is truly the revelation of the evening!”
–Bachtrack
Winner of the Queen Elisabeth Competition (2024) and the Montréal International Violin Competition (2023), the young Ukrainian Dmytro Udovychenko is a phenomenon that inspires growing curiosity and admiration worldwide. The 26-year old native of Kharkiv continues to refine his artistry at the Kronberg Academy; his current mentors are Boris Garlitsky and Christian Tetzlaff. Leonidas Kavakos chose him as his soloist for a concert with Athens State Orchestra.
“In the hall, everyone held their breath, hardly daring to move, so extreme was the tension. Dmytro Udovychenko possesses a true musical intelligence and a unique way of thinking through each of his intentions.”
